Recap 2022

07.12.2022

The year 2022 was a completely new experience for me, as I moved from being employed to being self-employed. Besides music, I am a graphic designer, web designer, video editor, graffiti artist and workshop leader.

Among other things, I have given DJ workshops at various schools. Partially with records, turntables, and a mixer, partly with a DJ controller, and occasionally with an MPC in my luggage. Both were a lot of fun, and it’s always nice to be able to teach kids something new. Seeing the sparkle in their eyes when they stand on the decks for the first time is priceless.

In addition to various video and graphic projects, I also went to a few camps this summer and worked with kids with disabilities for the first time. That was also a completely new and great experience for me.

Here is a short video of a workshop i did this year:

There were also live performances by Gossenboss with Zett and Kollege Hartmann, two of my longtime friends and collaborators. This time with Miloš on the sound, Tommy vom Merch at the merchandise table, and Christin on photography. I was even allowed to take over the role of the pre-act in Hamburg’s club “Uebel & Gefährlich”. In general, it was great to be able to perform songs live again and to play in front of people. Here are a few impressions from the concerts in Dresden, Leipzig, Berlin and Hamburg:

Unfortunately, I didn’t get much out of the DAVE Festival this year, but the closing night with an only-vinyl set at Plan B was definitely great again!

There weren’t that many beat releases by me this year, but I decided to release the previously unreleased 2nd part of “Organic Circuits” digitally one by one next year and then concentrate on new projects. As you might have recognized from the pictures, I’ve built a case with equipment and will use it more intensively in the next year. In any case, there are a lot of things planned. Finally, my only release this year with my good friend Gisela Björn:

Now it only remains for me to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas season and a relaxed start to the new year.

Take it easy!
